Helicobacter Pylori (HP) is a spiral-shaped, Gram-negative bacterium that can grow and reproduce in acidic environments. Helicobacter Pylori is the main causative factor of Gastritis and Peptic Ulcer, and is closely related to the occurrence of Functional Dyspepsia, Gastric Mucosa Associated Lymphoid Tissue (MALT) Lymphoma and Gastric Cancer. The World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer has classified it as a Category 1 carcinogen.
In many parts of the world, comprising a proton-pump inhibitor (PPI) with some antibiotics, is still the most commonly used therapy.
Human CYP2C19 is an important member of the second subfamily of CYP450 enzymes. It is located on human chromosome 10 and is an important drug-metabolizing enzyme in the human body. S-mephenytoin hydroxylase encoded by the CYP2C19 gene is one of the main components of cytochrome oxidase P450, which has an important regulatory effect on the metabolism of a series of drugs.
This kit is used for in vitro qualitative assay of polymorphisms of CYP2C19 gene*2 (c.681G>A) and CYP2C19*3 (c.636G>A) loci in human oropharyngeal swab samples.
