MEDICAL FAIR ASIA 2024 is set to take place in Singapore from 11 –13 September 2024 at Marina Bay Sands. As the leading medical and healthcare exhibition in the region, the exhibition will feature the latest medical technology and innovations, and healthcare equipment and supplies for the Hospital, Diagnostics, Pharmaceutical, Medical & Rehabilitation sectors.

Mirroring industry trends and global statistics which point to Asia’s rapidly ageing population, the focus on healthcare for the aged and technological innovations in the healthcare economy will be key themes at MEDICAL FAIR ASIA 2024 which will be featured at the Community Care Pavilion and Start-Up Park for innovative maturing healthcare start-ups. There will also be industry-led conferences and seminars, including the 4th edition of MEDICAL FAIR ASIA MEDICINE + SPORTS CONFERENCE, the 3rd Paradigm Shifts in Healthcare Symposium – Prehabilitation in Community Health and more.

• Healthcare 2020 Masterplan – Government support and initiative for healthcare affordability and accessibility
• New infrastructure development:
  • In 2022, the 1,800-bed Woodlands Health Campus will open and have an acute hospital and a community hospital sharing the same building. So will the Integrated Care Hub, a 500-bed community hospital, situated next to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
  • Woodlands Health Campus, when completed in 2022, will provide every patient with an electronic device akin to a watch, which monitors vital signs, activity, and location. It will alert nurses when a patient’s blood pressure goes up by too much, or where to locate a dementia patient.
• Singapore is a hotbed for medical technology innovation
  There are now more than 200 MedTech small- and medium-sized enterprises and startups in Singapore.
• Along with the country’s state-of-the-art infrastructure and high standards of medical practice, Singapore has become a natural choice for many global diagnostic companies to establish their regional business operations. Singapore is home to more than 30 medical technology companies, most of whom have set up their R&D headquarters or centres of excellence here.
