product description

MPXV Antigen

INTENDED USE
The Monkeypox Virus Antigen Rapid Test Kit is an immunechromato- graphic test system for the rapid, qualitative detection of monkeypox virus antigen in human whole blood, serum, plasma or rash exudate specimens, can be used for diagnosis of monkeypox virus infection disease in vitro. The Monkeypox Virus Antigen Rapid Test Kit provides preliminary test results, with negative results don’t preclude monkeypox virus infection. Cannot be used as the sole basis for treatment or other management decision. For professional use only.
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
1. The presence of two lines (Test and Control), regardless of the intensity of
the test line, indicates a positive result.
2. A single Control Line indicates a negative result.
3. If the control line does not appear, the results are invalid and the test should
be repeated.

MPXV IgG/IgM
INTENDED USE
Monkeypox is a rare disease that is caused by infection with monkeypox virus. The first human case of monkeypox was recorded in 1970 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) during a period of intensified effort to eliminate smallpox. Since then, monkeypox has been reported in people in several
other central and western African countries. In humans, the symptoms of
monkeypox are similar to but milder than the symptoms of smallpox. Monkeypox begins with fever, head-ache, muscle aches, and exhaustion. The main difference between symptoms of smallpox and monkeypox is that monkeypox causes lymph nodes to swell (lymph-adenopathy) while smallpox
does not. The incubation period (time from infection to symptoms) for monkeypox is usually 7-14 days but can range from 5-21 days. Within 1 to 3 days (sometimes longer) after the appearance of fever, the patient develops a rash, often beginning on the face then spreading to other parts of the body. The illness typically lasts for 2-4 weeks. In Africa, monkeypox has been shown to cause death in as many as 1 in 10 persons who contract the disease.
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
1. Remove the test device from its protective pouch, lay it on a dry and clean flat surface, and label the device with patient or specimen number.
2. Use a micropipette or a dropper to take 10 μl of serum, plasma or 20 μl whole blood sample, directly into the well, and then add the1 drop (about 40ul) of assay buffer into the well, if there is no liquid flow in the window within 5 seconds, add another drop of assay buffer
3. Start the timer. Leave the cassette at room temperature, wait for 15 minutes to determine the result. Do not read results after 30 minutes.

Possible setting for the test
Home, workplace, physician’s office or clinical labs
Storage conditions and expiration date
1. The original package shall be stored at 2℃ ~ 35℃, and shall not be frozen. The validity period is 24 months from the date of verification and qualification.
2. The test paper should be used within 1 hour after the original aluminum foil bag is opened.
